1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Goratify, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services. By accessing or using Goratify, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to be bound by these terms.

2Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3Buying Tickets

When you purchase a ticket through Goratify, you enter into an agreement with the event organizer, not with Goratify. Goratify acts as a payment facilitator only.

• All payments are processed securely by Paystack
• Tickets are non-transferable unless the organizer explicitly allows it
• Your QR ticket is valid for one-time gate entry only
• Ticket prices are set by organizers and include applicable fees
• We are not responsible for event cancellations or changes by organizers

4Refunds and Cancellations

Refund policies are set by individual event organizers and are displayed on each event page. Goratify's platform fee is generally non-refundable.

• If an event is cancelled by the organizer, you are entitled to a full refund
• If you cannot attend, refunds are subject to the organizer's policy
• Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the event date
• Approved refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days

5Organizer Responsibilities

If you create events on Goratify as an organizer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate event details including date, venue, and ticket information
• Honour all tickets purchased through the platform
• Process refunds promptly if you cancel or significantly change your event
• Not use Goratify for fraudulent or illegal events
• Accept Goratify's commission on ticket sales as agreed at account creation

Organizer payouts are processed on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Nigerian public holidays). Funds are transferred to your registered bank account within 1 business day of your payout request being approved.

6E-Voting Rules

Goratify provides an electronic voting platform for campus elections and polls. By voting, you agree that:

• You will cast only one vote per poll per account unless multiple votes are explicitly allowed
• You will not attempt to manipulate or interfere with voting results
• All votes are anonymous and final once submitted
• Goratify is not responsible for the outcome or consequences of any poll result
• Poll results are provided as-is and Goratify makes no warranty of accuracy

7Prohibited Use

You may not use Goratify to:

• Create fraudulent events or polls to collect payments deceptively
• Resell tickets above face value without organizer permission
• Use automated scripts or bots to purchase tickets or cast votes
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
• Upload or share content that is unlawful, offensive, or violates third-party rights

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and legal action.

8Limitation of Liability

Goratify provides the platform on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Event cancellations or changes made by organizers
• Losses arising from payment disputes or fraud by third parties
• Technical issues that temporarily affect platform availability
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific ticket or service in question.

9Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use of Goratify after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
